Competing as a first-time bodybuilder can be overwhelming, both mentally and financially. Balancing a tailored nutrition plan with the daily demands of training already requires significant commitment during preparation. In addition to the time invested, there are substantial financial costs involved—such as organizational fees, class registration, attire, tanning, hair and makeup, and potential drug testing. Before you know it, you may spend at least $500 to $1,000, depending on the organization. This estimate does not include expenses for meal preparation or supplements.
United Athletes was created to address these challenges. Our sponsorship program helps first-time competitors participate in their debut show without financial stress, allowing them to focus on essential aspects like diet and training to become stage-ready. It may sound too good to be true, but that’s exactly our goal. Will you be the next United Athlete?

I grew up in Section 8 housing, surrounded by addiction. I lost both of my parents to it by the time I was 16, and not long after that, I started losing myself to the same path. Drugs, pain, chaos. It all just felt normal. I didn’t have direction, just survival.
The gym wasn’t some planned redemption story. I found it when I had nothing left to hold on to. It gave me structure, discipline, and a place to channel everything I couldn’t say out loud. Over time, lifting became more than just an outlet. It became my way out.
Now I’m 18 weeks out from a national show, coaching others, and building a life I never thought I’d have. This isnt just about stepping on a stage for me. It’s about never going back to the version of me that had to survive.

I’m a husband, a father of four, an executive—and most importantly, a follower of Jesus Christ. This October, I’ll be stepping on stage for my first-ever bodybuilding competition. But this journey has been anything but easy.
Last year, just eight weeks out from what was supposed to be my debut show, I tore my bicep. After months of intense training, strict dieting, and mental preparation, everything came to a halt in a moment. It was crushing. Not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. I had poured so much into the process, and to see it slip away so close to the finish line was a real test of faith.
But that setback became a turning point.
God used that season to remind me that His timing is always perfect—and that my identity isn’t found in a stage or a physique, but in Him. As I healed, I made a decision: I wasn’t done. Not even close. I committed to come back stronger, smarter, and more spiritually grounded than ever before.
This prep isn’t about redemption in the way the world defines it—it’s about honoring God through resilience, discipline, and obedience. Every day I train, every meal I eat, every early morning I wake up tired but stay the course, I’m reminded that this is so much bigger than bodybuilding.
I’m doing this to glorify God, to lead by example for my wife and kids, and to prove to myself that setbacks don’t define us—our response to them does.
This October, I’m stepping on stage not just as a competitor, but as a testimony of what God can do when you stay faithful in the valley and trust Him on the climb back up
